Every document, filed where you'd look for it.
Licences, CPC cards, DBS checks, insurance certificates, MOT paperwork, contracts. One place that knows which driver or vehicle a document belongs to - and tells you before it expires.

Filed against the thing it belongs to.
Documents attach to people and vehicles
A driver's CPC card belongs to the driver, not to a shared drive nobody maintains. Open a person and their documents are there; open a vehicle and its documents are there. When someone leaves or a vehicle goes off fleet, their paperwork goes with them rather than lingering in a folder called 'Scans (new)'.

Expiry dates that flag themselves
Give a document an expiry date and RouteStra tracks it. Expired items are flagged on sight, so a lapsed licence or an out-of-date insurance certificate is visible in the system rather than discovered during an audit.

Permissions per folder, not per drive
Folders can be shared with specific people, roles or depots. A Manchester manager sees Manchester's folders; the workshop sees Engineering's. HR paperwork stays with the people who should see it - without maintaining a parallel permissions scheme in someone else's cloud storage.
However you go looking for it.
Library
The general folder store, scoped by area - Management or Engineering - with folders you define and share.
People
Documents keyed to an employee: contracts, licences, CPC, DBS, right-to-work, training certificates.
Fleet
The same store pinned to a vehicle, so MOT certificates, insurance and service records sit against the bus itself.
Groups
Pinned to a role or a depot, for the paperwork a whole team needs rather than one individual.
Everything in the Document Hub.

Common questions
No - the difference is that documents are linked to records in the platform. A CPC card is attached to a driver who also has shifts, sign-ons and a leave balance; an MOT certificate is attached to a vehicle that also has defects and a service schedule. Generic cloud storage can hold the file, but it doesn't know whose it is or when it lapses.
